Terms & Conditions

These General Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern the mutual rights and obligations between the company set out below and any natural or legal person (the "Buyer" or "User") who orders goods or services through the Glasox portal or uses the functions it provides.

1. General provisions

The Seller and Data Controller is:

(hereinafter the "Seller" or "Operator").

1.2. Buyer / Consumer

A Buyer / Consumer is a natural person who, when concluding and performing the contract, does not act within the scope of their business activity, employment or profession.

1.3. Buyer / Entrepreneur

A Buyer / Entrepreneur is a person registered in the commercial register or doing business on the basis of a trade licence or other authorisation, who purchases goods or services within the scope of their business activity.

1.4. Supervisory authority

The supervisory authority in the field of consumer protection is: Inspectorate of the Slovak Trade Inspection for the Žilina Region, Predmestská 71, P.O. BOX B-89, 011 79 Žilina.

2. Orders and conclusion of the contract

2.1. All presentations of goods and services on the Glasox portal are of an informative nature and do not constitute a legally binding offer to conclude a contract.

2.2. The Buyer places an order through the form on the Glasox portal, by email or by a separate enquiry. The order represents a proposal to conclude a purchase contract or a contract for work.

2.3. The contract is concluded at the moment the Seller delivers the order confirmation (acceptance) to the Buyer's email address, or upon signature of a separate contract / binding quotation.

2.4. For custom-made products (e.g. glass cut to exact dimensions, water-jet cutting, glazed steel structures), acceptance also includes the Buyer's approval of the binding technical specification or production documentation.

3. Prices and payment terms

3.1. Prices shown on the portal or in quotations are stated in Euros (EUR) and include VAT (unless expressly stated otherwise).

3.2. Prices do not include transport, packaging, professional installation or special handling costs, unless expressly stated in the quotation / order.

3.3. Payment methods

The Buyer may make payment by one of the following methods:

  • Bank transfer to the Seller's account on the basis of a deposit / invoice.
  • Online payment gateway (if integrated on the website).
  • Cash or card on personal collection (if available).

3.4. For custom-made products and goods manufactured to measure, the Seller is entitled to require a deposit payment of up to 100% of the total price before production begins.

4. Delivery terms and transport

4.1. The delivery period depends on the type of goods / service. For standard products it is stated with the product; for custom-made products it is agreed individually, depending on production capacity and the complexity of the specification.

4.2. Delivery methods

  • Personal collection at the Operator's registered office / warehouse.
  • Delivery by a carrier, or by specialised transport for oversized goods and glass.
  • Delivery combined with installation (if agreed).

4.3. On receipt of the consignment, the Buyer is obliged to check the integrity of the packaging and of the goods themselves (in particular mechanical damage, cracks or scratches on glass). Any visible damage must be recorded immediately in the handover / transport protocol.

5. Withdrawal from the contract (Consumer)

5.1. The Consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason within 14 days of receipt of the goods (in accordance with Act No. 108/2024 Z. z. on consumer protection).

5.2. EXCEPTION TO THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

The Consumer may not withdraw from the contract if the subject of the sale is:

  • Goods manufactured according to the Consumer's specifications or made to measure (e.g. glass cut to an exact size, water-jet cut shapes, glazed partitions and doors produced to the customer's dimensions).

5.3. To exercise withdrawal for standard (non-customised) goods, the Consumer must send a written notice to info@glasox.com and deliver the undamaged goods to the company's registered office address at their own cost.

6. Warranty and complaints (liability for defects)

6.1. Standard goods supplied to a Consumer carry a statutory warranty period of 24 months.

6.2. For Buyers — Entrepreneurs, warranty terms are governed by the Commercial Code, with a warranty period of 12 months unless otherwise agreed in the contract.

6.3. The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear or mechanical damage occurring after receipt of the goods.
  • Damage caused by unprofessional installation, handling or maintenance carried out by the Buyer or a third party.
  • Natural properties of glass and metals within the relevant STN / EN standards (e.g. permitted micro-deviations, optical properties of glass).

6.4. Complaint procedure: the Buyer sends a description of the defect together with photo documentation to info@glasox.com. The Seller decides on the method of handling the complaint within the statutory period (no later than 30 days for consumers).

7. Intellectual property and use of the Glasox portal

7.1. Any content on the Glasox website and application (texts, graphics, design proposals, 3D models, code, logos, trademarks) is the intellectual property of the Operator or its licensors and is protected by copyright law.

7.2. The User may not copy, modify, distribute or commercially exploit any element of the Glasox portal without the prior written consent of the Operator.

8. Dispute resolution

8.1. Contractual relationships are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic.

8.2. The Consumer has the right to contact the Seller with a request for remedy if they are not satisfied with the way their complaint was handled. If the Seller rejects the request or does not respond within 30 days, the Consumer has the right to submit a proposal to initiate alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in accordance with Act No. 391/2015 Z. z.

8.3. The ADR entity is the Slovak Trade Inspection (soi.sk) or another authorised legal entity. The Consumer may also use the online dispute resolution platform available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

9. Final provisions

9.1. The Seller reserves the right to change and supplement these Terms. The amended terms take effect on the day of their publication on the Glasox portal.

9.2. These Terms take effect on 1 January 2026.
